I have been having trouble finding information on this. In New York State, is a bedevilled felon allowed to own a bow and hunt?

Probably. I've bought a bow in NY and didn't accept to exercise anything merely pay for information technology. For the licenses all I've needed is proof of hunter ed. For archery, you lot need proof of a bowhunting course. I mean, definitely bank check online and maybe phone call the DEP, but overall NY is friendly to hunting. Also check to encounter if you demand whatsoever access permits for where you desire to chase, and if there are antler restrictions, etc. You're probably going to want to mind your P's and Q's. ^ one of the main reasons I bow hunt and don't gun chase lol. Dad is a bedevilled felon so never was able to gun hunt, and now looking back on it, I'm pretty thankful I was exposed to bow hunting commencement

Pretty sure all l states permit felons to ain muzzleloaders. They are not classified as guns past BATF. You tin can purchase one online and have it sent to your firm.

I see no consequence in doing it. You don't need a background bank check to buy a bow. I as well am under the assumption yous can own a blackpowder gun as a felon as they are shipped in the mail and no ffl groundwork check needed. Ny is gay as hell only I dont think they can restrict you in this area. If i had a felony i would buy the best bow I could and the all-time muzzleloader possible since I couldn't purchase other guns.
